Friday, August 22 2008 - 01:26

With some fifteen books to her credit, her work has also been published and cited widely in the Americas, Europe and Japan. A long-standing member of the Brisbane-based Paper Wasp haiku group and co-editor of Paper Wasp: a journal of Australian haiku, Janice has

Mistake 1 - Messy cover.

The cover of this book was very artistic and crowded. The title of this book was part of the artwork and I only could read half the title. Because I was

been made.

This is no small mission, but then Mark is no ordinary man.

Using his years of military training and sheer determination he
finally succeeded.

He shared this information in a book, The Great Formula, that

Glossary added
Sunday, June 29 2008 - 05:16
We have added a glossary to our resources area. It is a combination of traditional publishing and printing terms, marketing terms, internet terms and accounting terms.

At 32 pages it is still not a comprehensive list of all the terms you will come across but we hope that it will make publishing easier.

Did you know that ABA is the acronym for Australian Booksellers Association and the American Booksellers Association.

Back list is previously published books that are still in print
Author – Business or Hobby?
Sunday, June 22 2008 - 04:39

You are an author. Terrific!

Job or Hobby
But now the question is: Are you going to make money out of it or is it a fun sideline?

You can produce books as a fun and profitable sideline but don’t count on it. Writing takes work. It is a job. Writing books is not easy. Money from selling books is not easy.

Hobby
If you are writing books as a hobby, it means that you pay all the expenses and may be reimbursed some of the costs. Writing the book is not your day job.

Publishing a book! WHY?
Friday, June 13 2008 - 02:48
"Everyone should write a book" - or so the saying goes.

But there is a big difference between should write a book, could write a book and can write a book and those who have actually done it.

Should is a forced action - almost like have a teacher telling you what to do.

Could write a book is the ability to write a book.

Can write a book implies you have the skill to write a book.

But the big one is that the author has actually written the manuscript ready to published.

Okay that

        These are my turning points
        Times of resolution
        That give meaning
        And remind me
